Do you want to increase your prosperity, secure the love of the person of your dreams, seek protection from evil forces or grumpy neighbours, catch a liar, or even raise the dead? If so, Sorcerer‘s Screed is the perfect book for you.
For centuries, magic spells have been integral to Scandinavian history and culture. Since their initial settlement, Icelanders have employed these spells for both daily needs and more unique applications.
The Sorcerer’s Screed stands as the largest compilation of Nordic spells currently accessible. Each spell features a diagram and comprehensive instructions outlining its use and purpose. Initially published in 1940 as a limited handwritten edition, the author, Skuggi (Jochum Magnús Eggertsson, 1896–1966), crafted the diagrams himself, drawing knowledge from genuine Icelandic manuscripts from the 16th to 19th centuries, as noted in the bibliography.
This is a revised edition of the original publication, where all symbols and runes have been redrawn.
REVIEWS
"A well-presented work. You won‘t find in any other book this much information concerning magical staves and sigils. An introductory pillar to support the foundations of what comes next. I definitely recommend this book because it will raise loads of questions that will immediately make you want to seek the answers, and that‘s the entire purpose of acquiring knowledge."

"All praise to the Icelandic Magic Company, for bringing this absolute gem of a book out of the shadows of subcultural obscurity and into wider availability. Sorcerer‘s Screed: The Icelandic Book of Magic Spells is highly unusual and tremendously entertaining."
